Title: Glass Vase
Post by: knocker on November 14, 2010, 11:43:54 PM
Hi there

I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this vase I have acquired.  It is quite a chunky item that stands about 4 inches tall and has dancing nudes that look as though they are carrying garlands.  The photos aren't that good, but the glass is a yellowy green.

Thanks for any help given and for a wonderful website.

It reminds me of the Desna "3 graces" vase I have.  Desna has reused lots of old moulds.  Your glass may be more original than mine which I know is modern.  Note the 12 sided base on mine - I suspect yours has one the same.  I have seen Desna in pale blue, greeny-yellow(similar to yours), amber, malachite(a dark swirly green) and a lapis(dark blue)colour.
