Title: Murano or Russian?

Hi all

I always thought that   this style of weight    (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Murano-Glass-Lattice-Gold-Fleck-BUBBLE-EGG-Paperweight-/290501480538?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a33cd05a) was Russian - I certainly have two in my collection with Russian labels.

Does anyone know if Murano made/makes these or is this another case of them importing weights (like their Chinese ones) and relabelling them as Murano?

Hi there -- Can't answer it for you -- but I know in my googling threw the Net -- I thought I have seen some others like this by Murano too.....with lots of aventurine in them

Russian, Murano....or even Chinese...!

I think you will find there are a number of outlets in Russia selling 'Faberge style' eggs, paperweights and similar items to yours, and who knows where they get them from. If you search 'Faberge' on this forum there are various threads of vague relevance.
