Mysterious colours inside, lotus on the outside, unknown sig on the underside.  Taiwan?

It's a stand for a big marble..........

I would think very good quality far eastern origin.

A beautiful work of art, Ivo, and very interesting posts that follow!  Your link really does lead to a feast for the eyes, Frank; thanks for posting it.  Sue, are you serious about Ivo's glass being a marble stand?  (It well looks the part.)  Max, great detective work!
