Title: Cased Glass Perfume Bottle? Possibly 1930's??
Post by: itenthusiast on November 27, 2010, 02:35:34 PM

Any help with identifying the manufacturer or age of this piece please?  It looks as though it could be a perfume bottle, although quite a large one! I can't think what else it could have been used for.  No stopper when purchased, although it obviously had one.
It is aubergine cased glass, 6 cms at the widest part and 15.5 cms in height.
It looks rather 1930's.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
Many thanks Norma

It looks very similar to a bottle with bath salts in that i have seen in recent years they have a stopper and come wrapped in cellophane with a ribbon round the top sold in gift shops .

Thanks for your reply John.  You're probably right - and I thought I'd got something interesting for £1 at the local flea market! Norma
