Bought these together described as a pestle and mortar bowl, pretty sure looking at the wear band it's actually a stopper Lol
A nice bowl though, good colours green blue and yellow, and maybe someone maybe in need of a stopper.
Have Mdina made pestle and mortars? google and a search on here brings up nothing.

The bowl is 5" across and 3" high the stopper 4" long think it's hollow.

Yes they have been sighted and they're called ashtrays with a stubber. Usually the stubber got lost when throwing out the smouldering butts.

No, that's a stopper for a Mdina bottle

The stopper is is in the Ming colourway, you can see where it was ground to fit it's bottle. You may be able to find a bottle for it (it won't fit every bottle), many were made and sold without stoppers.
Nice looking small bowl or ashtray, probably made in the mid/late seventies or eighties.

Thank you all for your replies, again if anyone is in need of the stopper let me know you can have it with pleasure.
Length just under 4," ball 8" circumference, around 2.5" diameter, the stalk 4" circumference and 1.25" diameter.
