I'm taking a punt that this is British - and it comes vaguely in connection with the post by Keith re his 'Bristol Green Cider Jug' - in which Keith has posted his 'W/Fs vase which appears to continue this same 'bluey green' colour. The attached - which also appears to be the same colour - is a tad over 7.25"/about 185mm tall - very high quality ground/polished concave pontil mark - straight sided - and with very noticable interior hoops, giving the optical ribbing as shown in the picture. The glass is of a substantial thickness. I've looked on the Whitefriars.com colour identification guide, and the only one it seems to come near is 'Aqua' (greenish blue) - but my vase seems too deep and rich for that - so now a bit confused, and any suggestions gratefully received. thanks for looking. :)

My thanks as always Emmi :) - I did look in Leslie Jackson, but it appears there isn't a single example representing this colour. Have you considered producing a new book - something with emphasis on illustrating colours/designs of all the patterns, rather than concentrating on a an academic text. Quality pictures are the single most essential aid to accurate identification - accompanied by a very brief guide to size range and date, perhaps. More comprehensive than Jackson, but vastly cheaper than the other one - and I will be your first customer at somewhere between £35. and £50. per copy - and we both know a professional proof reader, don't we. :ooh: :fc:
