If you're interested in tumblers, you may like to look at our new Carnival Glass Tumbler Gallery. It covers Classic American as well as European and some South American examples, plus there are some lovely enamelled tumblers to look at. Here's the link to the menu on the Gallery:

If you like a challenge, try the Tumbler Teasers. These are images showing small parts of the tumblers' patterns - see if you can match them up. All the tumblers are shown in the Gallery, so even if you don't know them you can figure out the answers by looking at the Gallery pics. Try them instead of Sudoku for a mind game with a difference.  >:D

Ooooh yes, what super pictures, and lovely to see tumblers featured.  :rah:  They always seem to be the poor relations of glass (along with jugs) but I love them. Thank you Glen.  :hiclp:

Many thanks for your kind comments - so pleased you enjoyed them.

It's interesting to note that in Carnival Glass collecting, tumblers aren't so much the poor relations. While the value varies considerably (depending on pattern, colour and so on) there have been some mega high prices paid for significant items. The Frolicking Bears tumbler, for example, has seen a high of $15,000 while the marigold Big Butterfly took $11,500 just a couple of months ago. These are very unusual items, so please don't get me wrong and think all Carnival tumblers are mega dollars  :P Mostly they reach quite modest and easily affordable amounts, but I thought you might like to know that in Carnival Glass circles, at least, the tumbler really does have its day in the sun.
