I'm selling some glass on ebay right now. Most of the items I have had help with here with identification and I would like to thank you all for your help.
Here is a link to the Strathearn PSF 142 faceted paperweight see 'other items for sale' also
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150557631736&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
I'm also selling the Elio Raffaeli signed Murano Blue Bird, a Caithness 10th wedding anniversary paperweight from the 1970's and the Orrefors Optic vase plus a Caithness Twirl !
Thanks for having a look and I hope they can go to collectors ! Thanks again, Mike.

Go'dayyy Jak ,
Thanks for your interest in the Strathearn...it is a corker ! If you could send a messages through ebay to me than I will have your ebay user name and will then be able to add you to my list of favoured colonials so you should then be able to bid. I think postage to Downunder is approx. £10 . Good luck if you bid ! Mike :sc:

thanks Mike, have just done that.

Cheers Jak & Carol ,
I can't work out how to do it ! It was possible to do at one time; perhaps ebay have changed this option . I have changed the listings to Worldwide posting so you should be able to bid now . I will reply via ebay too. Thanks for your interest. Ta , Mike.

The ebay auctions have now ended . Thanks very much for the advert.. :) Cheers, Mike.

Thanks for the opportunity to bid Mike - sorry i didn't get either of them. UK auctions end in the middle of the night here, so I set my bids up and go off to bed - but often find I've been outbid before the auction ends. Never mind - still prefer living over here :phew: JAK

Ta, Jak !
There was a real increase in interest once I changed the listings to worldwide posting. Sorry you missed out , other examples might pop-up ! That's what is so addictive about ebay !
Do you miss fish & chips ?!!! Mike
-
no I don't miss fish and chips Mike - there is a chippy about ten minutes walk from my house! and I have even found a chippy that sells mushy peas (not that I can eat chips now - too fattening ) (When I visit UK I always head for a chippy though - but by about day 3 I am sick of the junk food.)
Perths population is 80% Australian, 12 % British 2% New Zealand plus others. Given that most of those classed as Australian and New Zealanders are of UK stock too - it is a very Anglicised culture here. :usd: just with sunshine and better food ;D
Back to Ebay listings - most of the things I buy come from overseas - many sellers specifically list the countries they sell to eg: N. and S. America, Europe, Asia, Australia , as an alternative to worldwide.
remember too that other currencies like the Aus dollar are very strong against the £ at present - so it means we can bid more - so that is good for you!
regards

I probably also should add to"just with sunshine and better food " - and bushfires, cyclones and floods - after the year Australia has had had so far!
good job we are able to cope - I have a friend in Brisbane who tells me that just weeks after the massive floods there life is very much getting back to normal. I think the clean up from Cyclone Yasi will take longer - massive destruction of infrastructure - roads, railways, ports, bridges etc, takes longer to replace. And we here in Perth hills had a big bushfire last weekend that burned out a big area with 74 homes destroyed. No loss of life though thank goodness.

Thanks Jak,
It has been a really difficult period for Australia , we have been following events on the news and we just hope it's all over now !! Glad to hear the recovery is happening fast though. So many people must have had their lives devistated ....we can only imagine what it must be like for them ! :X: Mike.
