Title: Poschinger Bowl - Thoughts Appreciated........
Post by: Greg. on February 06, 2011, 09:51:53 PM
Hi All,

Wondered if anyone could tell me a little more about bowl below, which I gather was produced by Poschinger.

Has quite a lot of wear to the base and a ground concave pontil mark. Also has a good iridescence.

Measures around 7 inches high and 10 inches across the top.

All thoughts appreciated, especially any on age...

Many thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,
I think they were introduced somewhere in the mid 80´s. Jindrich has been to the Poschinger
glassworks recently and posted some pictures - obviously they are still available:

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for your thoughts and the link, some interesting pictures their. I was coming round to the conclusion that the bowl was relatively modern.

Thanks again,
Greg
