Help please. I'm fairly certain that I've seen a Tutbury Castle souvenir glass illustrated in a glass book somewhere, but can't find it. It's not in the commemoratives section of Strange & Rare, the most obvious publication. Enlightenment sought please.
Tutbury Castle has been a popular attraction in the centre of England since mid-Victorian times, as it has dramatic ruins, complete with two ruined towers, one, the North or High Tower, genuine, the other a folly, set close by a pretty village complete with pubs and tea rooms, with a railway station within easy walking distance. Throw in the imprisonment of Mary Queen of Scots on several occasions, its destruction by Cromwell, and good selection of well-documented ghosties and you have the ideal destination for a day trip. ... and glassworks as well! I'm also interested in any of the actual glass souvenirs themselves, and would welcome details.
