Title: I don't think this artist is Australian. Help
Post by: ahremck on February 09, 2011, 12:14:04 PM
Picked up this lovely small vase on Australian Ebay with an irridescent spiral which is extremely well done.  Sorry about the signature I did not realise my handheld shot showed so much shake.

I suspect he may be Ameerican or Canadian - but can't get a good line on him via Google.  One other piece on 'Ioffer' dated 1984 shows the same signature.  It is an USA site so that is why I suspect Bowlby may be American.

 :hi:

I am not finding a whole bunch either -- but will keep looking.  Is this called an Orient and Flume design, or a Pulled Orient and Flume design ?

Found this one too, but not much info there -- so will keep looking to see IF something more can be found!!

Hi,
Its known as a Pulled Line design something that Orient & Flume used as well as thousands of other Studio's.
Nice piece.

Ross, I've just spotted another Bowlby signed item here:

Seller suspects it may be North American.

Hah! I've just realised the link I added is the same one Rose added in 2011 - slow selling item then?! :)
