Title: Beyermann & Co miniature vases
Post by: dirk. on February 10, 2011, 08:06:47 PM
I´ve been meaning to post these for ages...  ::)
The vases are decorated with a mixture of reduction technique and enamel painting and both show
a landscape with a lake.
Luckily both still have their original label attached. The seller kindly provided the info, that a similar
label concerning shape and inscription is shown in Hartmann´s Glasmarken-Lexikon as Beyermann
& Co, dating around 1910.
The labels on my vases however also read `Parisiana´. Since both of them have the same label, I feel
save to assume this would be the name of a whole range of miniature vases decorated in this style.
Would you agree with this? Do you think the name `Parisiana´ would have any further meaning
than simply sounding en vogue?

The rectangular is 68mm, the round one 70mm high.

Hope you´ll enjoy!
Cheers,
Dirk

p.s.: Greetings to Canada!  ;)

Dirk - I don't need to tell you but I will - they would be perfectly welcome in my home in Canada along side my Beyermanns.

When you get tired, of them let me know. ;)

They are beautiful!
