Title: Large Dartington cranberry vase

Can anybody tell me the age/date of this piece please.

What makes you think it is Dartington? I assume it is has a mark or a label, if so, a photo would be useful and that would help date it.

It doesn't look angry to me. ;D

It's acid etched but now I look at it again I'm less sure about what I see - although it definitely said Dartington this morning. I blame bad light, tired eyes and alcohol.

In that case it is quite recent (last ten years or so I guess). You could email Dartington and ask, they have been very helpful in the past, their address is on this page: http://www.dartington.co.uk/contacts

Thanks John, I was presuming much older judging by all the scratches on the base.

It looks like their floribundance pattern but they don't seem to do it in this shape or colour (maybe they used too): http://www.dartington.co.uk/living/type/vases.html?dccollection=92&limit=all

Scratches are only so useful, they are not a reliable guide.
