Hello All, :hi:
I have just seen this listing on eBay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DEER-LARGE-CLEAR-BLUE-GLASS-/270705995286?pt=UK_Art_Glass&hash=item3f0755ae16
Do you think it could really be Maltese?
Anybody, all comments welcome.
Thank you. :sun:

It might be Mdina, Rosie - I have discovered that they have been making quite big animals of many sorts recently, but all the ones I've seen still have the yellow features of silver chloride use in them, which this deer hasn't.
Sorry I can't be of more help - it could really have come from a lot of different places, quite recently........

Thanks Sue, I hoped you would see this one as I know you are very knowledgeable on Maltese glass. I rather like it, but I think I seem to like most glass animals. I was actually looking for a Leerdam Satin Glass Deer / Fawn. I NEED one badly!! :sun:

Saw an undamaged one do 125 euro this week (asking price and paid within a week), Rosie. If you want to find one for a more reasonable price, you need to find it in a place where Dutch collectors never go :)

Oh Astrid and NKP, thank you, BUT, where on earth would I go that Dutch collectors of Leerdam glass never go????

The deer looks like Murano glass to me. It looks like it has full legs folded under it, i.e., it is a good deer and not just a piece of glass with knees pulled out. Hope it earns a good price for the seller.
