I know I've seen this type of glass before. I think I know who made it, but I'm not sure. The vase is a little over 3.25" (8.3 cm) tall. It has a bubbly meshwork made by tiny bubbles. There are also effervescent looking big bubbles that I can feel on the outside of the vase. The colors are smooth and not grainy on the inside of the vase. Does anyone know who made it? Thanks!

My suggestion is Murano, and most likely a good maker. I'm attaching a picture of a little Venini bowl I have that has a similar combination of small and larger bubbles. The inside of the bowl feels lumpy, while the outside is smooth.
I was going to ask if you'd looked closely for a Venini mark on the bottom, as they're often very faint, but I'm sure you've done that.
It took me a while to get round the slightly unexpected colours in your piece.

I wish it had a Venini mark on bottom, David. :) It is a bit similar to your bowl. My little vase looks like it was made similar to a bullicante vessel, so the bollicine glass is like a net, but with no bubble in the opening. I can tell someone put a lot of work into it. I love the effervescent look of the free bubbles. I would not mind having this glass in all sizes. It's lovely.

After seeing this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220745728053 I realized that this vase is probably not Murano. The pontil scar of the ashtray are unlike anything I've seen for Murano glass. Maybe Czech or American glass??
Could we move this to the general glass section? Maybe someone will recognize it there.
