Bought this nice pressed glass vase today, colour is light amethyst (doesn't show really well in the pics).
Polished base, height 17cm.
It looked very Sklo Union-ish to me, and it cost only 2 Euro, so here it is :)
Couldn't find it in any of my reference websites...

Because pf the colour and the base I would look into Ankerglas Bernsdorf direction, also VLG, but cannot find an exact match at the moment :wsh:
Nice anyway!

Thank you very much, Pamela!
I am so obsessed with Czech glass at the moment that I rarely think of other possibilities :)
I will look into the VLG and Ankerglas options!

Very old thread, but I still don't know more about this vase.
What I can add is that I see this design regularly here (Vienna, Austria) at the fleamarkets and carboot sales, as far as I remember in yellow, pink and light blue, too.
Could they be Austrian? Is there a maker of coloured pressed glass known who could be responsible for these?

Another update:
I have seen this vase in many colours during the past few years, pink, yellow, blue, amethyst, amber and clear.
But recently I came across one of them in marbled slag glass, which instantly reminded my of those bowls with two pidgeons which are frequently found here in Austria, see PK:

and were made in Yugoslavia by STS Abel and later Steklarna Hrastnik.
So probably Yugoslavian?
