Title: Three point tall cased vase - Chribska?
Post by: heartofsklo on February 22, 2011, 08:38:05 PM
The vase measures 27cm. The clear body is encased with green and to the base amber also (it is not the shelf colour showing through, it is within the glass). The base is completely flat and polished. (I have looked on Jindrichs Chribska catalogue link but could not see anything the same).

It does look a bit Chribska-ish, but with the amber sommerso band I think it could be 'generic' Murano.

Thanks Wayne. The last piece I aasked for an ID on had the same/similar amber within the base and the general consensus was for Chribska - http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,38645.0.html

Oh right sorry, I thought that other piece was just pink + clear, didn't know it had amber.  Anyway I could easily be wrong, I just don't remember seeing any Chribska with a coloured sommerso band like that.  Skrdlovice sometimes do though, so I guess it's quite possible!

Well, I would say this piece is not Chribska and not Czech, but it is just a feeling not law.
