Can someone please help me with this beautiful vase.
I bought them recently and have looked on the internet for something similar and mostly get referred to Loetz glass.
Having looked at quite a few examples I don't think they are Loetz.
Could anyone help with I.D. or point me in the right direction.
I have two, they are identical in shape and height but the trailed decoration is different.
I have posted two images of the same vase with shots of the base.
Thankyou,
Nick.

I have done this once today but cant find it on the message board.
I am new to the site so if it comes up twice please forgive me.
I am hoping someone can ID this vase for me. I have looked on the internet and keep being reffered to Loetz glass, having looked at a lot of this now I dont believe it is Loetz.
I have two that are the same shape and height but vary in the trailed decoration.
The Pictures are of the same vase from different sides + Top and Bottom.
Could some one please help or point me in the right direction for research.
Thankyou
Nick.

You are correct in your determination that they are not Loetz. IMHO they are Czech though. I have not seen this particular color combination before though. They are quite nice and interesting.
I am curious where you are located?
I would be interested in seeing a couple of images in natural light to reduce the surface glare and show more natural colors.

Its far to course for anything Robert Held creates. I have seen larger ones than this but cant for the life of me remember where it was. Its a definate no for Loetz.

The trailed decoration will always be different because of the way they are made. Hot glass is drissled on like treacle so it would be impossible to exactly match the decoration before. Both the same maker.

I've merged your two topics - having two discussions open on one piece can lead to confusions, especially if there are differing opinions. You've mentioned having difficulty finding your topic. I'll email you a link to this one.

Hello Craig,
Thankyou for your post, I have included some photo's I took in the garden this morning, just natural light on a roll of wallpaper.
I hope these help.
I also forgot to put the size of the vases they are 9.3/4 inches tall.
I look forward to hearing if you can throw any light on where they might have originated.
Take care,
Nick.
P.S.
I am in the UK.

I do not know for sure who they are by..... The color combination is a little different from any pieces I have seen before.
They are quite nice, and the size is great.
Would it be OK with you if I copied your images for possible use on a website I am building?
Thanks, Craig

Hi Craig,
Thanks for your reply, you can of course use the images for the website you are building.
I hope it goes well for you.
If in the process you do discover anymore about the vases would you pkease let me know.
Take care,
Nick.

Hello Mike,
Thankyou for your post.
There are similarities but the Loetz looks a lot finer.
It looks like they will remain a bit of a mystery for a little longer.
Take care.
