Title: Is this Vasart V022?
Post by: mbdouglas on February 27, 2011, 12:02:16 PM
Hello, Does anyone know if this is a small Vasart V022 vase? It is 4" tall and 3" wide at the rim, with a rough pontil. I would be grateful for your thoughts. Margaret

I'm not so concerned about the shape number, but can anyone confirm if it is Vasart?
Thanks, Margaret

Have you seen or do you know about Frank's site on Scotland's Glass and the subsection Ysart glass?

You'll find shapes and numbers there.

I'm not so concerned about the shape number,...

For confirmation, especially for people new to Vasart etc., please note that the "V022" in the title of this thread is not a shape number allocated by Vasart.

It is a reference number used within the ysartglass website, where many shapes, sizes and colourways are shown by use of photos and these are numbered sequentially within categories which are identified by a letter before the number. Thus "V022" = Vase, website catalogue entry 022.
