Title: Three rather delightful candle holders but who made them?
Post by: rbm6167 on March 02, 2011, 02:27:13 PM
This was part of a mixed lot of glass but I don't know if from any significant maker. There is a quality feel to them and some age if the wear on base is anything to go on. They are each 1.5 inches high.

Can't see them that clearly,  but are the two at the back Match Strikers for Vesta matches?  ie., the matches sit in the hole and are struck on the ribbed outer surface???
I think some of then would have had a silver ring shapes rim cover on them, but they were often removed if they became tarnished or the plating wore through.

Here is a link to the sort of thing I was thinking of:- http://www.waxantiques.com/items/3870.htm

The one at the front looks like art glass.
