For what it's worth I think the central pinky/blue piece in the second pic. is possibly Chribska (Czechoslvakian) - but the mods will undoubtedly ask you to re-post all of these, one at a time. :)

It depends what you want them for and if £300 is for everything shown here, but I'd try and knock him down a bit.

If you want an ID for these, preferrably, the 4 images in one posting are different angles of view of each piece - including:-
the whole thing
the base
the rim
any significant markings

Don't worry - sometimes I don't do joined-up thinking!  :pb:
I hadn't connected the threads - not everybody reads everything, not everybody goes to the cafe, so others might have been confused (even with joined-up thinking).
But the info. about asking for id still stands for you in the future - 4 images per posting, different aspects of the piece in each.

:sun:If I want to stick images in the cafe, I use photobucket.

I realise you're not looking for id on these,   but perhaps you might have something you do want more info about in the future. :sun:

I think you need to be a bit more specific about what you want from this post Robert.   :)  I know it's connected to your post in the Cafe...so are you asking us if £300 is a good price for these items?  If this is what you're asking then I'll tidy up this thread and add that to your first post for you.

If your friend wants to know more about any specific bowl, then please make a new thread for each one in the Glass forum. Thanks!

Ok Robert, not to worry!  It's ok to ask advice if you need it and people are generally happy to help.  :)  If you just want to show your possible glass purchases, that's ok too.

Thanks Robert. I was just being nosy asking to see some pics and thought you'd like to share them. Any more pics of multiple items I'd be curious to see when you're ready to take and share any more pics.

Hi Robert :hi:  It is my fault as well.  I was one of the people asking if you would let us see them....this is thread I thought you would post them on...

http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?topic=39041.new;topicseen#new

It is a thread we are using to show our collections of glass.....it started out as a 'themed collection' idea, started by Astrid, and now it is a 'Show us all you have got' thread. and very nice it is too.

Your collection of glass 'ashtrays' looks very, very interesting, there seems a lot there for the money to my very untrained eye. The pestle & mortar looks rather nice, but then I am a sucker for green glass....... thanks for showing us....I hope you will let us know if you decide to buy them.  :sun:

The pestle and mortar is an ashtray and stubber.

Thought you would, Christine  :-*
Robert, I think a fair few of us think you're being asked for far too much for this collection.  :wsh:

I would have to agree £300 is far too much for just the pieces shown here!

BTW, the blue triangular bowl with a clear base which appears in pictures 2 and 3 is Whitefriars 9516 made from 1959 until 1972, but only shown in Blue in the 1964 and 1966 catalogues.

Doesn't Christine want the blue Sommerso bowl cased in Uranium green as well?  If not, I'll have it!  ;) :D

Robert there are some really pretty pieces in the collection.  However there are others that get seen fairly regularly or which are rather plain and those I think you would not want to pay a huge amount for.  I think £300.00 is also too much.  I don't know how to suggest you work out what you should pay, but if it were me,  I would start by allocating the pieces that others on here have said they like  ;D, then add to those the ones you really really like, then leave the rest to one side and decide how much you feel the ones you've allocated would be worth to you (ie if you saw them and loved them what would you be prepared to pay for them individually - personally I would also research them on the net before deciding a price each to be honest).  Yes that way you may leave out a fantastic piece worth a fortune, but at least you've picked the ones you love, which to my mind is always worth paying for - it also means you can live with them as you chose them because you love them. I'd offer on those only.
If the deal is to take all of them, then work out what the ones are worth to you that have been  left to one side unallocated and add it to the cost of the ones you really want.  That should come out at less than £300.00 as far as I can see.

Hi all well thank you for your opinions which i tend to agree with now on reflection you know how it is you tend to get cared away when presented with a new collection No problem as the price was not agreed on yet .Plus there are some i am not that keen on. I`v just have to work out which one :ooh:
