Hello,
I'm extremely pleased with my newest acquisition, which I believe is by Erich Jachmann for WMF... a 21cm vase with an exceptional 'optic' property.
I would appreciate confirmation, as well as, a date (not for me... I'm married :usd:). I've seen similar vases on ebay listed as 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
Thank you for looking!

Yes, this should be a WMF Erich Jachmann piece. Though I have no separate reference, I've seen lots of these described as such on ebay.de and Jachmann did quite a few amber-green pieces for WMF, I believe in the 60s-70s (usually meaning they were designed in the 60s and produced well into the 70s). I'm still looking for a reference book on WMF glas of that period, but apart from the Ikora glas (which I don't collect) I haven't found anything so far.
Anyway, Anik: congratulations! I hope to get one of these vases as well. Price-condition hasn't come together for me so far...

Thank you for confirming, Astrid! :kissy:
This vase is one of my favorite pieces, and perhaps my most favorite of all the vases I've got, regardless of maker or country of origin. It begs to be touched and examined -- a quality I most love in glass. I am truly pleased!
My vase is in almost perfect condition. It's got a 1,5cm horizontal scratch on the outside, almost midway down. But it isn't immediately visible, so I don't find it very disturbing. I paid a little more than I normally pay for my glass, 83 PLN postage included (about 21 Euro). Having seen these vases on ebay.de, I know they don't demand high prices which I think is a shame. The design is brilliant.
