Title: Last one for now - blue vase.
Post by: poppy on March 09, 2011, 02:24:00 AM
Large blue vase H - 24.5cm, diameter - 11cm.  It has wear on the bottom, I only try to but stuff I think is NOT Chinese and is weighty and seems to have age but I don't know, what do you guys think?

It seems to have a very simple shape, not really a challenge for a glass maker - which makes it very difficult to single out attribution elements. Made "from the top"- so no additional pontil operation involved, the piece could have been made in Portugal, in Spain, in the Czech republic, in India or in Mexico - I think it is unlikely that you will find out.
