Title: USSR Vase ID

second post today hiope that is within protocol

A Russian vase 1960s 70s any help with id

tall andd purple with an internal white swirl and four cut facets to square off the base - the facets reach near enough to the top of the vase

No idea of ID but USSR marked items are quite saught after with collectors at the moment.

it may not be Russian but Estonian, Latvian or Ukrainian. Quite difficult to resaearch, I think.

Most of the USSR glass that I come across in the UK is marked with a SAXONY label, Made in USSR, "your guarantee of quality". 
Presumably Saxony was an export company, like the Czech GlassExport, unless the glass was relabelled by VEB Sachsenglass.  Who knows?! 
Most of it seems pretty good quality.

Similar vase is in Neman glassworks 1966 catalogue. There is just one tiny picture and no additional details, like measurements and colour variations. I guess there must be some separate booklet with such details but I have never encountered anything of that kind so far.

From what I have seen at least Tarbeklaas glassworks(Estonia) and Neman glassworks(Belarus) in the 60s experimented with this technic quite a lot, but blue colour is rare for Tarbeklaas glassware overall, whereas Neman had that colour in their palette.

So, I would say, Neman glassworks is most likely the maker of that vase.
