I have two English (I think) pieces I am looking for some help with at the moment. One is a tall round vase with a bark like texture. I am wondering if it is a Whitefriars piece. I only have one of their pieces so far (yay for living in America and the limited supply of British glass one finds :P) and that piece is ground and polished flat on the base. I'd dearly love to know if this is a piece I can add to my collection or not. It measures 7 1/2" tall (19 cm) and 2 1/2" in diameter (6 cm).
Mod: Separate thread created for second item.
The second piece can be seen in this other thread (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,39265.msg217369.html#msg217369l).
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. It's always appreciated.

It's not Whitefriars - their bark textured pieces are cased in clear - (and the texture is different).
I'm sure Nigel might know something about the Webb vase.

Hi, not all Whitefriars bark vases were cased in clear crystal.
Some were made in full lead crystal, as in gold, aqua and sky blue

I'll confirm (and agree on Chris's behalf) this one is not Whitefriars. I'd suggest German or Austrian. ::)

It looks like it might be Ingridglas.
