Isn't this paperweight (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574631383&toolid=10001&campid=5335820906&customid=&icep_item=300522541185&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg) a run-of-the-mill modern Chinese? Or have I got it wrong?

I'm all for giving to appropriate charities, but...

Well, it is a BIG one, and it does have SIX (not five as per the description) dolphins and no less than TWELVE fish and you also get a coloured "fountain spray" as well as the often seen white one. So it's better than the usual "run of the mill" ones. But yes, the BIN price is optimisitic!

An interesting weight is it not, the fish at the bottom are really very good for what seems to be a chinese weight according to the base, almost as if someone has purchased some first grade Murano torch work fish and taken them to China and encased them in what is a reasonably decent item. I saw several of these weights on sale in a gift shop while on holiday in Cornwall last year and there were priced around £14 or $22, They are definitely Chinese
