http://www.clarke.mesanetworks.net/work.htmI read it as "Clark Studios"  I googled the name and came up with this.  From what I can gather he is in the states.  And on the ebay page there is no link to ask a question.

Hi, and thanks for that link...I did take a look at that one earlier today,  but I am thinking it might be Norman Stuart Clarke.....something about the symmetry of design....we had a thread here in Oct 2008 by Flying Free about one of NSC's egg pieces, and the thread did mention that his son would help,  but I can't find an address for him!
The thread I am thinking of is this one:

Is anyone able to help??

This is James Clarke I read the writing as "Clarke studios 1988"

You found the right Clarke. The vase looks like American studio glass in every way. It is a very handsome vase by a respected glass blower. Good catch, singingyamada.

Huzzahs what a relief to be able to be constructive instead of always asking.   :smg:

I have to agreee whole heartedly with Anita - it looks Amerian to me as well.  As you can see from his site he has been around a long time and would have the requisite skill to prodeuce a vase like this.  A little unusual is the base marking - USA artists often mark on the bottom edge of the side.

I agree. I think you can promote yourself to future-pro with this recognition.
