I am having trouble finding anything out about this hedgehog. It is cast in crystal clear glass with lovely tactile bobbles all over it's back, a little over 4 inches or 10cm in length.
Any ideas? Thanks.

My immediate impression is that it is Pukeborg or Ittalla. They seem to do lots of cast animals.

I also thought Pukeberg or Iitaala but looking Pukeberg up their Hedgehog prickles seemed to be wider spaced and triangular ish. That's not to say they don't do more than one hedgehog though :) I didn't look up Iitaala though.

Definately not Pukeberg, have never seen an Iittala one and it looks a little bit like the Tiffany ones, except the eyes are different....I am on the case though....you know me and glass animals John!! :wsh:

Prickly subject, this. There are lots of firms who did hedgehogs - among them Hadeland, Goebel, Nachtmann, Sèvres - and I'm sure the beast runs wild in Poland. We can have weeks of speculation ahead..... :X:

Oh thou of little faith Ivo!! We will find the maker....'tis my mission!! :sun:

;D
I have had a Pukeberg hog in the past and the spikes were triangular and well, spikey (rather than rounded), of course they may have made more than one style of hog over the years.
Thanks all and Rosie, please don't loose any sleep over it. ;)

Yes it does, you are a star, thank you Rosie. :sun:
It does look a little smaller (fewer raised dots but the same design), I will email the seller to ask for sizes and also see if they will email me a picture of the label.
Will report back.... By chance I also have another critter to id, this time a lovely little signed fish I bought for my fish mad nephew, hopefully I will have time later tonight to post it.

I know it's suppertime again Rosie but can you send me an email (click the envelope icon below my name on the left)? There is something I wanted to ask you but your email address is not visible. Thanks.
