with a hollow grey foot and a red bowl, height 20 cms = 8".
Look familiar? I managed not to identify this one for 20 years now...

that reminds me of Cari Zalloni designs but the rim finish doesn't look right looking at other pics.   -  I'm guessing you've already investigated that though?

I must admit I never even heard of the man - but now I do and managed to identify several other pieces, thank you for the pointer. I agree the finish is different - but I'll keep it in mind.
