Title: 17" Tall 1960's or 70's Vase ID Help Needed
Post by: blake77 on April 02, 2011, 06:31:54 AM
I've had this particular vase for over a year and haven't been able to find it in my numerous books or on-line. The vase has a very distinct slit on two side of the neck going from the lip down about 2". The base is slightly concave with a polished pontil mark. Here are some photos:

Any ideas as to the maker would be truly appreciated. Thank you!

Dear Christine,
You may very well be correct but I don't find this particular vase in the 3 books I have showing examples of Viking Glass. Viking did like to make slits or cuts on the tops of their vases so I have searched using google and also eBay, numerous times with months between searches, but have never found a match.
Hopefully someone knows for sure and will post.

Thank you for your help.

Yours, Blake
