Title: Smoky brown bubble vase
Post by: chriscooper on April 06, 2011, 10:32:11 AM
Bought this last week this was the eBay photo but described as a smoky grey Whitefriars jug?
Stands 5" high someone went to the trouble of fire polishing the rim?
Any thoughts appreciated.

First thought is - I wonder what the base looks like.  Can we get a photo please?

Ooops, forgot to look at the other photos.  My impression is that is one of the multitude of nameless glass items from Asia.

Must get out of the habit of always assigning China to any unknown.  India has quite a large glass manufacture as well and Malaysia & Indonesia make lots also.

I think these are quite poor quality item's, mine shows a different base but they do look to come from the same place. not much help, sorry.

Thanks both, no worries the eBay photo was poor, could not see bubbles and it looked better than in real life and it was described as a jug ;D
