Title: Beatiful 1800's amberina glass bottle. English? American? Please help!
Post by: Tatu379 on April 09, 2011, 03:16:25 PM
I purchased this amazing bottle many years ago, but I am not able to tell the maker for sure. About 10" high with the stopper. The color is quite well represented in the pictures. There is a polished pontil. Please help me!
Thank you, Vick

is the stopper a good fit? It looks like a barber bottle - a typical US product.

Yes, the stopper fits well and has the same exact deep honey color as the lower portion of the bottle. (The stopper nicely reflects the bottle's pattern too.)
Thank you, Vick

in that case I vote barber bottle - a category which has few followers around the world as they are definitely rare. It also means i never handled one, and have little practical knowledge to add - so wait for someone in the know.

Thank you for the information, it's at least one more thread on which I can start my searching. :))
Thanks again, Vick
