I can't find this model in my loetz book...
seems to be the wrong book :thud:
or the wrong vase :thud:
a little help with the maker and age would be great

I think it's called creta papillon

is your vase all green or is the iridescence over the base colour a different colour?  I think (although I'm not entirely sure) that creta is green?  I could be wrong on that though... so I'm just thinking that if the iridescent colour over the top is not green then it wont be creta papillon if you see what I mean.

I believe your vase is the Kralik version of the decor. I am not Kralik expert, but I associate the ground rim with Kralik. Loetz had some things that were blown from the top and ground, but in this finish I would expect a thicker glass and a polished pontil scar on bottom.

I forgot to ask how tall the vase is. I've noticed that some of the smaller Loetz vases are blown from the top. The one in Style Invasion's link looks so much like years. It is a smaller vase, so the attribution could be right.

There are a few of the Loetz creta papillon vases at http://sites.google.com/site/loetzglass/loetz-page-2. Looks right to me.

I've been in an art trader's store yesterday and the man told me it is loetz creta papillon and he offers me 100euro... I've once sold him a vase for a 100euro and he sold it for 390euro afterwards.... won't doit again...

The vase is Loetz and would be classified as Creta Papillon. Creta, as with Candia, Rubin etc, refers to the ground color of the vessel, and not to the color of the decor applied to it.... so in this case, the decor is Papillon, applied to a Creta vessel...

There are also many examples of Loetz Papillon pieces with no pontils and cut/polished tops.....
