Definitely Mdina and from the post-Harris 1970s or so I think. Mine is unmarked too http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=594

Nice piece Adam - especially when, like yours, the brown is broken up with yellows/chlorides. I quite like Mdina with flat sides, makes a change from so many of the 'curved' surface examples. Mine's shorter at 8" (with signature), and looks like Christine's may be taller tho.

Sizist! :P
I believe this is actually a Harris design (in the glass, it's called Tortoiseshell when it's Mdina - not to be confused with Tortoiseshell as produced at IoWSG, which is a spiral of brown streaky glass in a frothy yellow background) and was produced in the period he was still there as well as afterwards. This may be a later '70s shape - I simply don't know.
I have as evidence for this, an early cylinder vase produced at IoWSG which is very similar to this - and it is common knowledge that MH continued with and developed the designs he produced at Mdina when he moved to set up IoWSG. It's got a flame pontil mark - and is almost identical to another cylinder vase I have, marked Mdina.
