Title: Aseda question - did they do swung bone vases uncased?
Post by: flying free on April 19, 2011, 05:48:00 PM
I can't post a pic at the mo as my main comp is down and I'm using the laptop.  But I have a pale straw coloured large bone vase that is remarkably similar to one I have that is cased clear and has the bubbles in the base.  This one though has no bubbles in the foot and is not cased, just all one colour.  Very large at 11" or 28cm tall.
thanks for any info

Just a quick reply as I've got the tea on...is it anything like the ruby one in ebay item 280647270063 [Link (http://cgi.ebay.com/14-Swedish-Aseda-Randsfjord-vintage-glass-Bone-vases-/280647270063)]?

Described as Randsjford glassworks in Norway (labelled).

thanks Wayne what a great find! very similar just a different colour and the top is very similar but just slightly a bit more -slanted downwards.  The colour however is a very pale straw, so could look clear nearly but when you look at the top and the base you can see how straw coloured it is. Colour wise it isn't like any of those in that group.
thanks again, I'll investigate further now.
