Title: ID please of large blue vase very similar to Jobling
Post by: mhgcgolfclub on April 26, 2011, 12:12:49 PM
Help to ID this large blue vase.

Pattern very similar to Jobling but I sure it is not and the colour is wrong I would say.

I think it may be French but is not signed or marked , or a modern Chinese ?

Height 12.25" / 31cm , weight over 2.1 kg

Thanks Roy

I do not think its a modern Chinese . I still have a feeling may be French .

Looks to have at least some age

Been on the board before, the design is similar (but not identical to) to a J. Stolle Niemen pattern. I would agree that they are likely to be French, but I've never seen a marked example.

On the ones I've seen, mould quality has been way below that of Jobling's B1-B3 vases, rim finish is wrong also.
