Hi, Is this what is known as tango glass? the brass frog is the same as one I have on a Kralik piece but I'm not sure who made this vase, It could well be Kralik for all i know and also I've seen very similar but with vertical black lines attributed on ebay as Loetz... ? This one measure's 5.5" high, 6" Diameter. Thanks,
Robert

Not tango, for a start there is only one colour. Tango requires two colours of glass, usually a vessel in one colour with decoration or trim in another.
It takes two to tango....

Thanks for the information and nicely put, seems easy enough to remember for future, the vase in the link also shows alot more quality than the one I have. could this be another unknown piece?

Lots of Bohemian/Czech companies made these sorts of things, and your shape is fairly ordinary so...

This shape, with a metal collar flower frog is more usually known as a Rose Bowl.
Please select the colour of roses you put in it very carefully ..........eeek !!
Kralik & Welz ( and probably others) made glass to a wide spectrum of quality.
Just FYI the Japanese (in the 70s) definitely and the Italians possibly also made this type of translucent glass in this color.
The collar on this one is particularly good. Personally I'd pay more for it than the vase. I have a piece of Loetz crying out for a nice collar. I'm going to ave to start buying vases like this just for the collar !

Thanks for this info, unfortunately for you I have just cleared a lot of glass including this piece at a bootsale, practically gave it away.
