Title: Large Alexandrite Ribbed Glass Egg Vase - Tiffin? Steuben? ID = Tiffin
Post by: dorian_graye on May 02, 2011, 07:27:33 PM
Hello all.  I've recently purchased this vase from a charity shop, but have no idea who produced it.  I had assumed it might not be that hard to research it myself because of the type of glass, but I'm not having any luck.  Perhaps someone in the forum could help?  It measures 10.5" inches tall and 4.75" inches wide.  it has a ribbed interior and that applied foot which looks so familiar.  I appreciate your help!

That's good to know. Thank you! Have you seen one published before? I'm wondering what my be a good book to find production numbers and examples to Tiffin's products.

Yes I've seen them, but then again I'm only 88 miles from Tiffin & was a National member for years. Two books, first is Tiffin Glassmasters The Modern Years by Kelly O'Kane, mostly B & W catalog pages, but at 254 pages it has everything & second is Tiffin Modern Mid-Century Art Glass by Ed Goshe & Ruth Hemminger, 99% color 216 pages.
