I found this the other day and can't make up my mind if its old or new. It seems to be free from any substantial wear and the edges are quite sharp.
Can anyone place it for me?

The ground base rim indicates it's probably older, i.e., before full automation, which eliminated the need for hand finishing.

Thanks Christine that's helpful. Out of interest when was full automation achieved?

Depends where you were. Pretty early in the 20th century for the USA for many factories, later for elsewhere in the world. Well post WW II for Sklo Union factories I think.
