Title: Vase with four attached Medallions

I buy this vase in Switzerland, now I would like to know more about this Vase.

I am looking for the Year of production, manufacture, and Designer Name.


  • Weight: 1.300 Kg
  • Size: Ø 120 H 200mm
  • Base:  polished
  • Particular: air bubble decoration and attached four Medallions


    • P.S. I suspect as a Prachen & Koudelka, duno if he made a vase with attached Glass, just the technics are very similar to me.

    Hi Sergio.  It's not something I've seen before, but my guess would have been Prachen too.  The shape looks very Koudelka, but like you say, I don't know if he did applied prunts/medallions, but Hospodka did.  A couple of similar-ish Prachen pics below.

    Thank you for the Replay and the Fotos & Link, as well for the expression (applied prunts) didn’t know how to writing this.

    It seems to be a Prachen Vase well 50% I am on the right direction {just please no china}.

    I have looking for more Glass Catalog from the 40s till the 70s on Books shop & eBay is hard to get dose glass Catalog’s

    Ah Ohh Uff! my English and Vase Knowledge,    :or:    I creeping slowly forward.

    If I more know I will leave a Line here.

    I agree with Anik - I think I've seen it somewhere but no idea where at the moment.  Maybe Makora?

    I'm inclined to look more towards the 1960s.  HSG "Tarnów", HSG "Sudety", HSG "Zawiercie", HSG "Irena", HS "Wołomin" and HS "Żar" are possibilities.  Also HSG "Hortensja" (1980s) could be another possibility.

    This one is from Franisek Koudelka a Prachen Vase from the 1970s, the Base are Polished too, and decor with bubble inclusions.
    of course many vases used this décor etc, but the Base is Identical, this made me Think of a Prachen vase.

     Uff what stands for HSG and HS

    HSG means "Huta Szkła Gospodarczego"  i.e. glassworks (for domestic use)
    HS means "Huta Szkła", meaning "glassworks"

     :)

    Sergio, I know very little about glass, and it could well be that your vase is what you think it is...  but my initial impression was that it is Polish.  (I've got a vase which has got almost identical 'mottling' and colour.  I'm 95% certain it's Polish.  See photos...)

    Yes I see now, Anik this puts me in a dead end.

    Well is very difficult for me to make affiliation identify. There are so many Vases and I can’t find almost nothing Info’s.


     :ow: Just Yesterday I became this Catalog Czech Art Glass (Part IV) and I was so surprised to see this Vase as a Czech Vase from Hlava Pavel 1960 Broske Sklo

    with this Foto I am now higgledy-piggledy    :huh:
