Title: Isle of Wight pink and blue swirls bell vase

I just wanted to post this vase I found the other day at an antique centre. I have Mark Hill's book on Michael Harris and this vase appears on page 83. When I bought it the dealer had it down as being strathern but i knew what it was straight away from the other side of the room. After chat with the dealer we agreed on a price of £45.

Quite often as these pieces were blown the colours became 'thin' and pale, they still seem quite strong on your bell vase, a nice example. It's always worth checking for a signature on the larger items around the edge of the base as well as around the pontil mark, you never know....

A fair few folk get the leaping salmon of Strathearn and the flame of IoWSG confused.
My Aurene plate was described as Strathearn - a very long time ago.  :smg:

I think things are improving a bit now.
