Title: Help needed please! Glass owl with green and brown stripes

Dear Friends,

I was hoping that someone could help me identify my little friend.  I bought him about ten years ago and never been able to find out anything.  I am not even sure if he is worth writing about, but I have always liked him and would love if someone could point me in the right direction re maker.

Lily when you put up pictures of a glass piece for help it is wise to show
(a) the overall object - you did that well.
(b) a picture of the base - especially if it has engraved or etched writing. 
(c) a picture of any label or part label that may be attached.
(d) for vases a picture of the rim is very useful as well.

So can we get a picture of the base please. 

I suspect you are from Australia as well - something is familiar about the owl but my memory is refusing to co-operate tonight.

He's a lovely owl - well worth writing about.
Your location on the planet is often a good starting place for research, it would help to know where you are.
