Unbelievably this piece arrived in the post wrapped only in 1 sheet of the large bubble wrap and a bit of the smaller round the rim, in brown paper no box, marked fragile :o I have no idea how it arrived in one piece, but I do love it ;D
It's quite heavy but refined in it's making. It does seem beautifully made, the foot is domed and applied to the knop on the stem, the pulls are fab and stand a little proud of the vase, but it is unmarked. The pontil mark is not ground and polished but very neatly finished. It is red interior, cased white then cased again in clear with the pulled feather effect applied on the clear casing.
So, is it studio? Has anyone come across anything like this on their travels? :X: not mass produced ;D apparently bought on Camden Market
Many thanks

The acid finish, applied pattern and general quality remind me of some glasses I have which I think were Turkish? Or Spanish? I may be completely off the mark.

I think further afield - Azerbeidzjan, or was it Kazakhstan? I'm sure someone has the link...
