Title: Caithness Romeo and Julieet vase
Post by: adam20 on May 25, 2011, 06:09:53 PM
9" high in neodymium glass - etched with Romeo at Juliet's window - quite heavy and marked Caithness to base

Any ideas of age or designer

Thanks Adam

from Caithness Glass by Mark Hill

<<Design CT 117 from the Shakespeare series designed 1989 by Colin Terris. A popular wedding gift, produced for decades. Later examples produced with a screen printed stencil so lacked the depth and detail of earlier pieces.>>

so its age could be anything from 20 to just a few years. depends on quality of the sandblasted design I guess.
I bought one recently which was very disappointing - obviously the one I got was a later version although it has the 90's- 2000 pink & clear label.

The detailing on this has depth and is very good - also has pink label
