A bit of a mystery vase...
Bright yellow (the photo's quite dark - in real life the colour is 8)), slightly opalescent base form with an applied band of red that's been hotworked into a wave.
A roll rim at the top and snapped off pontil mark to the base. 145mm tall, 165mm diameter.
The design bears strong resemblance to Gino Poli designs for Aureliano Toso in the late 1960s... but I can't find an exact match.
Any clues gratefully received. :)

I might just shine my UV torch on this and see what happens...
-
I did consider this, but I'm sans UV at the moment. ::)
I've actually a few Murano pieces that I suspect might :sun:
-
Yup, got a distinctly  response under UV. :chky:
I don't know if that helps towards an attribution at all, or even naysaying A. Toso.
I was told that A.V.E.M. did a very similar shade of slightly opalescent uranium glass.

Might it be from elsewhere?
-
It's almost certainly Italian... but I'm happy to stay open-minded.
-
I have no idea, so 8)

Bump ;)

Nic, I don't suppose Gaspari would be in the running? I've had a search and the shapes dont seem to be right, but may be worth a look?

Thanks for looking. :)
I've zero hands-on experience with Gaspari's work. I'll trawl the books later to see if your suggestion unearths anything.
-
I couldn't track down a Gaspari link.
In terms of colour and finish, this vase seems like it might be related (alas, unattributed also):

Nic, I don't know if you ever got an id for this vase, but this is the kind of Gaspari piece I was thinking of which made me mention it.

Oops, I missed the post above. Not sure it's related to the Sasso vases - they're a lot more random and chunky.
I finally got around to taking some half-decent photos of the vase in the hope it'll ring a bell with someone...
