Blue Depression Glass lidded bowl over 12" high

ornate moulded decoration

I could be wrong of course but to me it looks brand new. The model seems to be based on a covered sugar but stretched out, the foot looks too new, there are mould seams which are too prominent, the colour is too electric - there are too many toos to set off my alarm bells.

Hi Adam,
For my 2 cents worth, I'm really starting to think some modern glass is not as durable as some older glass and hence bottoms of pieces mark much more easily and give the impression of age related wear.
Cheers

Without knowing this particular pattern, I do agree with Ivo - it just feels too new.

Its a bit similar to Indiana Tiara Glass covered candies c.60s.  This one reminded me a little of yours http://cgi.ebay.com/Tiara-Indiana-Glass-Blue-Candy-Strawberry-Jar-Cover-/320704462794?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aab79bfca

Glass from the Tiara Exclusives range is certainly found in the UK. It was made by Indiana Glass from 1970 to 1998 for party plan selling.
