:hi: there:
I just bought this about an hour ago. Large amber colored Decanter with stopper (no glasses  ). It is about 14.25 inches tall, and about 4 inches wide at the widest point. There is a label on it (Gold and yellow Foil) in an oval shape. The oval shape has like *4 little thorns* on it, in the inside.
Anyone know the maker of this? Whose label it is? And the age of course...
These Czech decanter with gold on them -- is this Gold Gilt? Or is that the correct definition of it. It was a $2.00 purchase, so I am ;D or I think I should be!!
Thanks for any assistance!! :kissy:

Hi,
think these are Borske Sklo from the 50s/60s. There's some similar decorated with gilt in Mark Hills Hi Sklo Lo Sklo. Sure someone will confirm soon.

Just to agree with Greg. Quite a few of this style made it to Canada, Rose, so don't be surprised to find more, often with the Belfor label on them.

Thanks All --- and I am getting a small collection of them. They seem to be very abundant here. Guess every home had them in their day.....as it was the style then. I like these, and like I said, getting a small collection of them now (about 10 maybe).
This was just a different label than I had seen before, so another reason to purchase the item (plus it was Cheap)....bought this from the same place (and lady) as I bought the Kosta Boda item.........lol......her loss, my gain!! ;)
