Was just wondering how to tell the real ones from the fakes. This one is a little over 10 inches long and 5 inches wide.
Can stand up or lay down as an ashtray, and has a lot of silver and gold flaking. Hoping someone here would know if the sticker and/or piece is real or fake and could help determine its' age. thnx for looking.

Hi there
This is definitely Murano and not a bad example. There are a number of clown producers in Venice and our suppliers do indeed produce their own. Very hard to identify maker but it could be VAR Murano who make exquisite pieces. Good work and the label definitely indicates an period of between 1950 to 1970. Usually, the gold labels were reserved for the premier items being sold, not always but this was the norm
Hope this helps
