Well, it's really not based on anything very solid - the combination of this sort of colours was popular in Germany in the 60s - 70s, and that shape doesn't rule it out. Wiedmann did some pieces for Gral glas that sort of have a similar feel, but I can't find a match to this shape, so it's pure speculation. He did usually sign these sort of pieces, though, so perhaps if you check the remnant of the sig...

Hey, while trying to find an example, I found this website, check the second vase. Doesn't mean anything, but at least someone was thinking of Wiedmann as well. Linking it to his WMF designs (not Ikora), but he made similar pieces for Gral-glas (company, not the technique as made famous by Hald).

Well, Astrid´s already given you the information available. I had been hoping the
Gralglas book would have shed some light on these pieces, but unfortunately they
aren´t covered there...  :-\
There´s two further pieces in my webalbum; hope I´ll be able to remove the question
marks one day:

Dirk, this particular link with one of your ? vases mentions an 1985 Wiedmann book as reference? I don't have this book, but might be worth checking out...

Hi Astrid,
I´m looking for this book for quite a while now. I think it´s a catalogue from a Wiedmann
exhibition at the Freiburger Augustiner Museum:

Hi Dirk,
Was wondering ive not encountered these types of glass upto now in my short glass collecting career would you be able to give me an idea of the value on a vase like this as i may sell in near future to further my great british glass collection? I must say its a stunning piece of manufacture but doesnt go that well with my other kinds i have!

Dirk may from experience be better suited to answer, as he is more of a Wiedmann collector. I never managed to win a single Wiedmann vase I bid on, because prices always go over my limit (which means they always go over 100 euro. Sometimes over 200 or even 300, depending on the model and/or size).

I never paid a three digit for any of my Wiedmann pieces, but I simply wait for not so
well described and photographed items.
In a free ebay auction I´d expect your pieces to go somewhere between 100 and 200€.
Perhaps your piece would be worth bringing to an auction house, where it might fetch a
bit more...  :)
