Title: Victorian ? uranium glass bowl maybe Stourbridge

I have strange intricate bowl,i think Victorian,i know its uranium as it glows well under light,i also think i saw something on the same line at the Glass Museum but i wonder if there is anyone who recognises it,ie maker and age.It is 6 1/2"  at its widest and 2 3/4" high.it has a break off pontil thank you for looking  Lynn

It's an odd one. My instincts say not Victorian and not English. It just doesn't look quite right: the crimp pattern looks wrong, the shape is peculiar (it's not organic like the Victorian shapes) and that pale green is more 1930s than 1890s. But I could be completely wrong.

Thinking aloud here... could it be the base of a fairy light or is it too big for that?

despite your feelings, do have a look at these sites, as the range of fairy lights etc. is amazingly diverse, and you never know.................these were provided by Anne to one of my searches some time ago...........

church candles, incidentally, can be truly massive. ;)

Looks like it's missing a lid/top half, whether a fairy lamp or metal grid for flowers or something else.

Many thanks Paul,you have just opened another (blow half a day away site) for me,they are amazing pieces of glass,when it was suggested fairy lights i presumed the little tea light glasses,the lights you pointed me to i never knew existed,i am supposed to be selling a collection left to me but i am keeping more pieces as i research them,i now just need to find a top to it and its a keeper !!! unfortunately i may be exiled to one of the stables as im indoors is V minimalistic!!!!
